Wedding Photographer in the Alpilles
Fine Art wedding photographer in the Alpilles. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux, Eygalières, ancient olive groves, stone farmhouses, intense Provençal light.

A Fine Art reportage in Alpilles
The Alpilles embody a wild and elegant Provence. This range of limestone hills between Avignon and Arles offers landscapes of raw beauty: ancient olive groves, cypress trees, white cliffs and dry-stone farmhouses. A setting that draws couples from around the world for intimate, refined weddings, away from grand banquet halls, close to a particular idea of Provençal beauty.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence, Eygalières, Maussane-les-Alpilles: these villages share a unique atmosphere, blending Provençal art de vivre with an almost Mediterranean intensity of light. I photograph regularly in the Alpilles and know its venues, angles and hours intimately.
My Fine Art approach in the Alpilles
The light in the Alpilles is unlike anywhere else in Provence: more contrasted, more dramatic. The limestone cliffs reflect a luminosity that gives portraits exceptional depth and warmth. It is magnificent terrain for a Fine Art photographer, the images that emerge here carry an intensity found nowhere else in Provence.
My approach remains the same as in Aix or the Luberon: natural light only, no intrusive flash, portraits that feel like paintings rather than magazine spreads. What makes the Alpilles different is that each venue imposes its own visual character, rugged, mineral, luminous, and the reportage bears that mark.
The most beautiful wedding venues in the Alpilles
Domaine de Manville in Maussane, a luxury hotel with a golf course and panoramic views over the Alpilles. Château d'Estoublon, celebrated for its avenue of century-old cypress trees and its AOC olive oil. L'Oustau de Baumanière in Les Baux-de-Provence, a Provençal institution at the foot of the village. Domaine Les Collines de Manon, among olive groves and Alpilles hills. Private mas in Eygalières and Maussane, with terraces facing the sunset.
Light in the Alpilles through the seasons
Spring (March to May): almond and cherry trees blossom, the light is soft and changeable, ideal for outdoor ceremonies and portraits in orchards. Summer (June to August): strong light, dry air; golden hour sessions against the white cliffs are particularly striking. Autumn (September to October): the light becomes lower and amber, olive trees take on a silver sheen. Winter (November to February): crystalline atmosphere and stripped-back landscapes perfect for intimate weddings.
Engagement session in the Alpilles
I offer engagement sessions in the Alpilles, at sunset facing Les Baux-de-Provence, in a private olive grove or at the foot of the white cliffs near Saint-Rémy. These 90-minute to 2-hour sessions deliver 60 to 100 retouched photographs and are an excellent way to get comfortable with my approach before the wedding.
Wedding photographer Alpilles: pricing and booking
Collections start from €2,300 for a full day. Travel within the Alpilles and Bouches-du-Rhône is included. I photograph only one wedding per weekend. The most in-demand dates book out 10 to 14 months ahead.
