A Fine Art reportage in French Riviera
The French Riviera is synonymous with glamour, Mediterranean light and exceptional venues. From Nice to Saint-Tropez, through Cannes, Antibes, Cap Ferrat and Monaco, this coastline offers a singular setting for a high-end destination wedding. The light here is of rare quality: intense by day, golden and rose-tinted at dusk, with that blue Mediterranean horizon that gives every image a particular depth and luminosity.
As a wedding photographer based in Provence, I photograph regularly on the French Riviera. The geographical proximity allows me to know these places intimately: the light quality at each hour, the specific constraints of palaces and private villas, and the rhythm of international destination weddings.
My Fine Art approach on the Riviera
Weddings on the French Riviera often have an international dimension, couples coming from the United States, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia or the Middle East to celebrate in France. My Fine Art and editorial approach matches the aesthetic these couples are looking for: elegance, discretion, images worthy of a luxury publication.
I photograph in natural light only, without flash, always seeking the best position relative to the available light. On the Riviera, this light is generous but sometimes harsh in midsummer: I plan couple sessions at golden hour, just before sunset over the Mediterranean, for warm, luminous portraits.
The most beautiful wedding venues on the French Riviera
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild at Cap Ferrat, with its nine themed gardens and views over two bays. Château de la Chèvre d'Or in Èze, perched 400 metres above the sea. Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, a Riviera institution since 1870. The palaces of Cannes, Carlton, Martinez, for large-scale celebrations. Private villas overlooking the bay of Villefranche or the harbour of Saint-Tropez. And Monaco, with its legendary hotels and the Rock facing the sea.
International destination weddings
The French Riviera attracts a discerning international clientele. Experienced with couples from around the world, I adapt to the codes and expectations of multicultural destination weddings. I speak fluent English, understand the constraints of destination weddings, coordination with planners, family time zones, fast gallery turnaround, and adapt to every context.
