Wedding Photographer at Château du Griffon
Fine Art wedding photographer at Château du Griffon in Céreste. Characterful Luberon estate, dry stone, terraced gardens, panoramic Provençal views.

A Fine Art reportage in Château du Griffon
Château du Griffon is unlike any other venue in the Luberon. Perched in Céreste, this dry-stone estate surrounded by hills offers an authenticity that many luxury properties have lost. Here, nothing is contrived: the stone is genuine, the terraced gardens are alive, the panoramas over the Luberon are wild and magnificent.
I have been photographing weddings here for several seasons, and each reportage carries a strong identity. Château du Griffon appeals to couples seeking a venue with meaning and a singular atmosphere, away from standardised glamour, close to a particular idea of inland Provence.
The setting at Château du Griffon
The château itself is an old stone manor, sober and elegant, whose façade changes colour through the day, golden beige in the morning, deep ochre at golden hour. The dry-stone terraces, layered down the hillside, offer open views over the surrounding hills and, on clear days, towards the Luberon and the Préalpes.
The terraced gardens planted with lavender, rosemary, juniper and olive trees create a dense, fragrant Mediterranean landscape, ideal for natural, immersive portraits. Below, a spacious reception area allows large celebrations without compromising the atmosphere of the place.
My approach at Château du Griffon
The singularity of Château du Griffon lies in its raw, authentic character. My Fine Art approach finds its fullest expression here: natural light, portraits grounded in the place, a narrative faithful to the spirit of the wedding. Stone, Luberon light, Mediterranean vegetation, everything combines to create images of rare depth and presence.
I often photograph couple portraits late in the day, on the highest terraces, when the golden light rakes the stones and dry grasses. These are the most beautiful moments at Château du Griffon.

Getting ready in the estate rooms. Ceremony in the terraced gardens. Cocktail hour among olive trees and lavender. Dinner indoors or on the terrace. Couple portraits at sunset with the Luberon hills as panorama.
