The restored golden-stone bastide is the heart of the estate. Its façades, traditional blue shutters and understated architecture create an elegant setting without ostentation. The wine cellars, with their vaulted stone arches, offer intimate spaces for getting ready or for portraits. And the vines, of course, hectares of ceps surrounding the estate, offering ever-changing backdrops through the seasons.

In autumn, the vines of Château Martinay take on colours of remarkable intensity: the red, orange and gold of the vine leaves create magnificent chromatic harmonies with the golden stone.

The elegant modesty of Château Martinay calls for a photographic approach that respects its character. No grand staging, no spectacular set dressing, natural portraits in the vineyard light, spontaneous moments in the cellars, a narrative faithful to the warm atmosphere of the estate.

This is a place where the late afternoon light works wonders: the vines catch fire, the stone glows, long shadows create natural compositions. I always organise couple portraits late in the day here, to make the most of this light.

Getting ready in the estate rooms. Ceremony in the park or among the vines. Cocktail hour on the terrace with views of the Dentelles. Dinner in the reception room or outdoors. Couple portraits at golden hour in the vineyards.
