A Fine Art reportage in Var and Saint-Tropez

The Var, and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in particular, brings together two atmospheres few regions manage to combine: the seaside, international elegance of the coast, and the Provençal authenticity of the hinterland. From Saint-Tropez to Ramatuelle, from Gassin to the wine estates of the Plaine des Maures, this territory offers vineyards, hills wooded with pines and cork oaks, stone bastides and a Mediterranean coastline bathed in generous light for much of the year.

As a wedding photographer based in Provence, I regularly photograph in the Var. The region is a natural extension of my territory: the same Mediterranean light, the same wine estates, the same love of outdoor weddings among vines and olive trees.

My Fine Art approach in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Weddings in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez often have a high-end, international dimension, with couples choosing the peninsula for its understated glamour and exceptional estates. My Fine Art, editorial approach matches this aesthetic: elegance, natural light, timeless images that feel like a beautiful magazine without ever losing their sincerity.

I work without flash, in natural light, seeking the best orientation for the hour. Summer in the Var is bright and warm; I plan couple sessions late in the day, at golden hour, when the light skims across the vines and the sea takes on coppery tones.

The most beautiful wedding venues in the Var

The wine estates of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Plaine des Maures offer perfect settings for outdoor weddings, between rows of vines and shaded terraces. The Provençal bastides around Ramatuelle and Gassin, more intimate, suit private celebrations. Private villas overlooking the bay of Saint-Tropez or Pampelonne host the most exclusive weddings. Further west, the Var coast, from Hyères to Bormes-les-Mimosas, extends these Mediterranean settings. Discover for instance my reportages at Château des Anglades and Domaine Castel Bay, two weddings photographed in Hyères, in the Var.

> The Var is part of broader coverage of the French Riviera and complements weddings photographed in Hyères.

Destination weddings in the Var

The Gulf of Saint-Tropez attracts a demanding international clientele. Used to destination weddings, I adapt to the codes of these celebrations: coordination with wedding planners, fluent English, advance location scouting, and a sneak-peek gallery delivered quickly for families travelling from afar.
